What makes your landscaping design services custom?

Unlike some South Austin landscapers we don’t use a standard, cookie-cutter approach that results in the same looking landscape in every yard. We first have a detailed consultation with the client to get a firm understanding of their goals and what they want to achieve with their landscaping. 

We’ll then walk the property to get an in-depth understanding of what we’re working with. Our experts check out the soil quality, type of grass, existing plants and structures - we’ll map it all out and create a custom plan that is unique to the client’s goals and property.

Do you work on existing irrigation systems or only systems your team installs?

We work on all irrigation systems! We can install a brand new irrigation system or we can extend, repair, reconfigure or reconstruct an irrigation system that’s already in the ground. 
 

Can I really save water with a smart irrigation system?

You bet! We often recommend the Rachio Smart System Controller because it can reduce monthly water bills by 30% to 50%. It's a pretty big deal in South Austin’s dry, hot climate.

A smart system can adjust watering schedules based on various factors like real-time weather conditions, soil moisture, and plant needs. In other words, no more wasting water or money during inclement weather or unnecessary watering cycles.

What fertilization treatment packages do you offer?

We offer three core fertilization packages - Basic, Plus, and Complete - all of which are customized for the unique needs of your lawn in South Austin. No cookie-cutter treatments with our Heroes.

Our Fertilizer Force plans are based on:

Are fertilizer products safe if pets and/or kids are at the property?

While some products are harsher than others, all of our fertilizer products are pet- and child-conscious. You can achieve a beautiful lawn without worrying about safety. Even though the fertilizers and weed treatments we use are designed to be safe for residential use, as an added precaution we recommend keeping kids and pets inside at least 4 hours after application.

This is more so that the product can absorb fully into the soil, and it reduces residue transfer.

What should I know before your Core Aeration service?

Great question, because preparation makes a big difference!

Here’s what to know:

Before We Arrive:

• Avoid watering the day of service. If the soil is too soft, the results won’t be as effective.
• Mark your sprinkler system heads, or we can do it for you ($25 fee). We’ll need access to your irrigation controller if we’re handling this for you.
• Identify shallow utility lines (cable, gas, etc.) and mark them if they’re buried less than 4 inches deep.

Additional Tips For the Best Service:

• Remove dog toys, yard decor, or anything that could get damaged.
• Notify us if your gate is narrow.
• Invisible fencing? Please mark the boundaries.

After Aeration:

• You’ll notice soil plugs on the lawn—that’s normal! They’ll naturally dissolve in 1–2 weeks and enrich your soil in the process.

Note: If irrigation heads aren’t marked and we can’t reach you, we may need to reschedule and a $45 trip fee may apply. Also if it rains, including a light rain, the services may need to be rescheduled.

How do you handle mosquito control?

Our Mosquito Legion (yes, we gave them a superhero name for a reason) is trained to take down mosquitoes at every stage of their life cycle.

Here’s how we do it:

• Our pest experts will conduct a full property inspection to identify breeding grounds and high-activity zones.
• We'll then put together a treatment plan that targets both adult mosquitoes and larvae with eco-friendly solutions.
• Safe, effective treatments will be used to target mosquito-prone areas like standing water zones, shady areas, and underbrush.
• We'll conduct follow-up treatments as needed to keep your yard mosquito-free.

South Austin summers can bring the bugs out. Our job is to send them packing!

Do you offer mowing services in South Austin?

We currently do not offer routine lawn mowing, but we proudly partner with mow-only businesses across South Austin to ensure your property stays in tip-top shape.

Prefer to mow it yourself? Here are some tips:

• Mow weekly or bi-weekly to promote healthy growth
• Keep the blades of your mower sharp to avoid damaging the grass
• Don't mow too short, especially during the hot months
• Clear debris like grass clippings, pine needles and leaves so that thatch buildup doesn't occur
• Each time you mow switch directions to avoid creating rut patterns
