WHAT'S THE FIRST STEP FOR CUSTOM LANDSCAPING SERVICES?
With anything custom the first step should always be an in-depth consultation that goes into detail about what you want to accomplish. Custom landscaping means that it is designed specifically for your needs, preferences, and property characteristics. Our team will meet with you at your property to properly evaluate everything. We'll walk the property with you as you tell us your goals for the project. From there we'll be able to come up with a design plan that meets those goals.
HOW DOES YOUR TEAM ENHANCE CUSTOM LANDSCAPING?
Our landscaping services are extensive, going far beyond custom design and installation. We can enhance custom landscaping with outdoor lighting, hardscaping, pergola construction, and irrigation system services.

HOW MUCH WATER CAN A SMART SYSTEM CONTROLLER SAVE ME IF I HAVE AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM?
Using a Smart System Controller can make a significant difference in helping you save water. For example, the Rachio Smart System can lower monthly water bills by 30-50%.
DOES HEROES LAWN CARE WORK ON EXISTING IRRIGATION SYSTEMS?
Yes! We can work on existing irrigation systems that we installed or were installed by someone else. Services include:
- Irrigation system repair
- Upgrades and modernization
- Improvements to conserve water
- Winterization and reactivation
WHAT TYPE OF HARDSCAPING FEATURES CAN BE INSTALLED?
Heroes Lawn Care of North Austin can enhance your landscaping in a lot of ways with our hardscape services. We can design and install paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, garden beds, decorative driveways, fire pits, and much more. If it can be made with stone, pavers, or rock, our hardscaping Heroes can handle the job.
I HAVE CHILDREN AND PETS, IS THE FERTILIZER APPLICATION HARMFUL TO THEM?
You can have a beautiful lawn without endangering any people or pets, and the Heroes team takes every precaution to ensure that. While the products that we use are safe to apply at residential properties, we do suggest that you keep your pet inside and wait 4+ hours before allowing children to walk or play on the grass. The biggest reason is to ensure the fertilizer has settled into the soil.
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE YOUR CORE AERATION SERVICE?
Our goal is to provide the highest quality service possible. Property owners can also aid in the process with a little preparation and a better understanding of what the service involves.
Before we arrive:
- Irrigation: Please don't water your lawn the day of service. Soft ground can affect the results. If there has been a light rain or inclement weather we may need to reschedule the service.
- Marking irrigation heads: If you would like us to mark the heads for you, it will be a small fee ($25) added to the service. If we are marking the heads, we will need access to the irrigation controller which is usually inside the garage. Otherwise, please have the heads marked before the day of the service.
- If you agree to mark the heads but they are not marked, we will need your permission to proceed. If we unable to reach you the service will be rescheduled and a $45 trip charge may apply.
Underground Lines:
- Irrigation Lines: Please note that Heroes Lawn Care is not responsible for damage to irrigation lines buried shallower than the industry standard of 4 inches. Our machine operates at a safe depth, but if you know of any shallow lines, please mark them clearly. We will gladly replace any clearly marked heads accidentally broken during aeration. Additionally, if you choose our Irrigation Marking service and we miss a head or break one despite marking, we will cover the replacement. However, if you mark your own heads and one is missed, or if lines are not buried properly, we cannot be held responsible for repairs.
- Other Lines (Cable, Gas, Phone): Similar to irrigation lines, these utilities should be buried at least 4 inches deep. If you suspect a line is buried shallower, please mark it. While we take all precautions, the responsibility for repairs lies with the respective utility companies if damage occurs due to improper burial.
Additional Reminders:
- Invisible Fences: Please mark the boundary to avoid accidental damage.
- Dog Toys & Hidden Objects: Please remove any objects that could be damaged by the aeration process.
- Narrow Gates: If your gate is smaller than the standard size, please let us know beforehand.
We endeavor to aerate all lawn areas however, sometimes our machine will not be able to maneuver everywhere. We will adjust the size and price of the service if we are unable to aerate a larger section of the property as long as it does not go below our minimum price.
After the Service:
The plugs will dissolve on their own in about 1-2 weeks.
That's it! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to be your lawn's hero, ensuring a healthy and beautiful landscape.

Our Mosquito Legion are experts in controlling mosquito activity at all stages in the Northeast region of Austin. The exact treatments that are used will depend on the property and the extent of the problem. The basic service includes:
- Inspection of the yard to determine the best service for controlling the mosquito population.
- We'll create a strategic approach to take care of adult mosquitoes, larvae, eggs and breeding grounds.
- Technicians will use eco-friendly products to correct the problems and kill mosquitoes.
- Our team will continue to monitor the situation and perform additional treatments if needed.
Our goal is to ensure customer satisfaction by eliminating mosquitoes and preventing them from coming back.
DO YOU OFFER LAWN MOWING SERVICES?
We currently don't offer a lawn mowing service in the Northeast Austin area. We do however partner with mow-only businesses to provide clients with complete coverage. Many of our clients also prefer to handle this basic service by themselves. Here are some lawn care tips if you decide to do weekly or bi-weekly mowing on your own.
- Consistency: Weekly mowing ensures a consistent schedule for lawn maintenance, resulting in a more uniform and attractive appearance. This regularity helps prevent overgrowth, which can lead to uneven cuts and an unkempt lawn.
- Healthier Grass: Cutting the grass more frequently encourages healthier growth by promoting tillering and thickening of the turf. It prevents the grass from becoming stressed or damaged due to excessive length, which can occur with longer intervals between mowing sessions.
- Weed Control: Weekly mowing helps control weed growth by removing weed seedlings before they have a chance to mature and spread. By keeping the lawn well-manicured, there is less opportunity for weeds to establish and compete with the grass.
- Reduced Thatch Build-Up: Thatch, a layer of dead grass and debris that accumulates on the soil surface, can impede water, air, and nutrient penetration to the roots. Weekly mowing prevents excessive thatch build-up by consistently removing grass clippings, promoting better lawn health.
- Debris Removal: Weekly mowing provides an opportunity to clean up pine needles, leaves, and other debris that may accumulate on the lawn. Removing these materials regularly prevents them from smothering the grass and inhibiting growth, resulting in a cleaner and healthier lawn overall.
